Hello I’m a 12 year old gardening enthusiast and I’m just wondering I’m
growing an indoor avocado tree will it bear fruit without bees pollinating
it or will I have to manually pollinate it ?

  4. Hi Ray! I am a new subscriber and new gardner. I was wondering if you
prefer the block of coir over the loose coir that’s also sold by cocotek.
Also, if I’m planting with succulents (mostly transfers from stores), what
do you propose to add to the soil? more vermiculite, washed sand? Thanks so
    much for your time!

  5. How much did your electric bill go up from the lighting?

  6. Thanks man i really appreciate all the info!

  7. Thanks! You amaze me with your help, you exist for the good, just like
    hypoaspis :)

  8. Thanks for this video….I was wondering where are the links you posted?

  9. Hi Ray, great video, super helpful. 2 quick questions, I’m struggling to
find Urea in the UK so would ammonium sulphate be an ok substitute? and how
often would you feed Chilli and tomato plants ? thanks.

Once i found maggots inside my cactus eating it inside out. There were also
spiders around the cactus. It was a year ever since then i started
gardening again. I have a fear of maggots.

  11. Hi Ray, I’m a huge fan. I’m in the UK & I can’t find Urea labelled for
gardening use on amazon.co.uk. I found “Urea – organic nitrogen” but it
seems to be used for dying clothes. Do you think I can use this anyway?

My apartment is a Voodoo garden so I def get your fascination. Most people
just look at me weird when they visit. (except mom).

I stopped buying potting soil recently. Potting soil is mainly peat moss &
perlite. I just bought my first bag of peat moss last year but i’m looking
for a cheap growing medium I can use for my container veg plants this year.
Something similar to cost of peat or cheaper. I’ll then add my own
    compost, nutrients, etc.
I would like to use coir but it’s to expensive for me. 2cf Coir = $45
    & 2.2cf Peat Moss = $7

  13. Amy Bishop says:

Can I use your fertilizer mix to water newly germinated plants. I know that
once the seedlings get their first set of true leaves I need to start
feeding the plant….so can your urea, potash, bone meal mix be used on
    seedlings?

  14. Pamela Ulloa says:

    Hi Ray,
Please help me understand the difference and choose which soil should I buy
at my home improvement store. They have top soil for $1.38 . Scotts premium
top soil $3.77. potting soil ranging from $3-$9 and potting mix like brand
miraclegro moisture control for $6.77 , which one is the one you buy for
your potting soil mix? Thank you so very much and wish you the best.

  15. Great vid and you really cover a lot of stuff! I’ve used my own urine as a
nitrogen fertilizer on my gardens in the past, best nitrogen fertilizer
ever. One cup per gallon sounds a little strong though. I go with around
one whiz per gallon and that’s mild enough you can give it to medium sized
plants that are starting to take off once a week or every other time you
water, smaller plants I’d go with an even more diluted amount. Since I
started selling some veggies and giving some away I stopped using the urine
but I still haven’t found anything that compares to it. Not only is it a
great nitrogen fertilizer that it seems like the plants can easily absorb
and make use of, it also seems to make them more pest and disease
resistant, maybe because they’re just healthier in general.

  16. Easy listening. Thank you & Thanks for all the Tips!

wow that was wonderful. Thank you so much for sharing ! Right now I am in
school and afraid I would neglect living things who need my attention, but
when I graduate I’d love love love to grow plants like you do. Is there a
way to keep this video to refer to after 2 years? What if You tube goes
down? What if you close shop? Do you have a dvd of this episode? I
subscribe of course, but besides putting this link on my tool bar, I don’t
know how I’ll find this again down the road. What a fountain of
information. I loved the whole thing. Sorry so long. bye now
