A dozen or so chickens can be quite the gardeners, from weeding, and
compost creators, to eating the feathered beasts or their eggs. I have a
    high esteem for them.

  2. It can be a bit smelly, but some urine is a good nitrogen boost especially
    for citrus

  3. We started using food waste Bokashi compost and compost tea and have had
very good luck with pest control for our organic community garden.

  4. THANKYOU. I have had great results with Comfrey and compost tea’s.

  5. IN ENGLAND WE HAVE BEEN TOLD NOT TO USE COMREY AS IT PROMOTES CANCER

    Excellent information. Thank-you.
I’ve used worm tea, from a worm bin as frequent fertilizer. This is in
addition to occasionally pulling out the worm casting / fresh dirt and
    putting that dirt around plants.

Did anyone else get put into a trance and snap back out of it at 5:00?
Not 100% sure what happened. Might have been the voice.

  9. mustard is a very good weed to eat before the flowers come on. My kids
used to pick them on their way home from school. I would clean them and
boil them, then drizzle them with olive oil.

  12. I’m sorry lol but are you high or are there really bright lights in the
    green houses lol

How long does compost tea or nettle tea keep its nutrients for? If there’s
not a specific time to get rid of it how do I know when to throw it away?

  14. Genesis W says:

Anytime I plant tomatoes or peppers, I throw an organic banana peel, a
handful of bone or blood meal (both if I have it), and a handful of
powdered egg shells in a very deep hole. I cover that mess with a layer of
soil, then put in my plant. I’ve had some monster plants with this method.

  15. JT says:

urine is a good nitrogen fertilizer… bottle it, save for a year so any
microbes die…dilute 10:1, some suggest 20:1, and use as you would
anything else. Urine collection also removes a huge amount of nitrogen
from the water, from your toilet all the way to the ocean. I can just
imagine the filth flowing into the Gulf of Mexico by way of the Mississippi
    River… gah!

  16. This is what I usually do in my garden…
