  1. I am visiting our weekend getaway and decided to harvest a few veggies for
some curry I plan to make when I return home. This small Square Foot Garden
produces wonderfully, especially since it is rarely tended. I visit once a
month in the spring, summer, and fall, so those are the only times it is
    watered & fed.

  12. That plot look great. I would have built and pcv row cover and added bug
netting to keep them there butterflies out. Looking good nevertheless

  14. Lovely clean red potatoes. What variety were they? I am growing *Rosamundo*
which is a Swedish red potatoes. They have flowers on them at the moment,
but I expect it will be another month before I can harvest.

  15. Hey Donna, Even with the bug damage you still got a good harvest.

  16. That was a nice harvest. So happy for you.I would have put the potato plants
back in the ground to see if they continued to grow. Best wishes, E:)

    tasty.

I bought some basil and will try growing it. Instead of clay or plastic
pots I am going to buy a few galvanized pots from the farm store – 24
inches in diameter round or oval 1 ft tall. No rotting, rusting, chipping
or breaking. I’m giving this a try I have 2 square foot beds 4 ft off the
ground that are wood and I need more planters. I love working at waist
    level!

Even though this is your small garden it’s my favorite. The beautiful
sound of the creek adds to it’s ambience! Seems like a beautiful location
    for a getaway!
