Sorry to but in… If you’re in Sydney or near Newcastle. There are IBCs on
Gumtree ranging from 80$Aus untested not cleaned to about 120/140$Aus
cleaned and tested. We will be moving back to the northern central coast
soon and so I am checking it out now for our budgeting. I want them to help
my folks catch water for their gardens. Hope this helps. Cheers David
Got 4 planted out, So 4 more to go and the frog farm, Working on the shade
roof today, I hope to have it finished by the end of the day. Its a slow go
but its coming together.
The IBCs will turned into beds for the yacon, turmeric & ginger that will
be going along the front fence John.. The 2 we already have will be used
for the fish farm.. Looks like there may be enough room to fit a few more
beds in out the back as well.. Just need to submit the plans to the boss
first 😉
Garden is looking great there Rob, I was looking at some IBC’s down here
but they want $300 each for them, that to me sound a little dearish to me,
so I mat just have to settle for a couple of the 220ltr Drums, there around
$38 each George
Was so near the end to let a little rain get in the way 😉 The feeder is
working so much better now that it has been lowered Ben.. I keep going to
make some smaller ones but keep getting sidetracked.. Have a great one..
😀 The deign of our loo means that the water doesn’t swirl when it gets
flushed Don’t know any in the jet set community either Sorry I’m not
much help there.. Have a great one though…
I do give them a feed with liquid fertiliser about once a month & find that
helps them along. Should be every second week but things come up & I don’t
get to it.. I have used a few different types of liquid fertilisers like
green manure teas, worm casting teas, waste water from the solids filter in
the aquaponics as well as commercial fish & sea weed emulsions.. For a top
dress fertiliser I would use garden compost &/or composted manure as they
normally have high levels of nitrogen.. TBC
As usual It is great watching your video.I do wait every week for seeing
new updates.Glad to see Cauliflowers and Broccoli.Do you add anything more
to the soil once they start showing heads? My cabbage is forming a head
here. What would be ideal organic food for the soils at this stage?
You know you’re a dedicated youtuber when you film in the rain, LOL. Great
vid and nice leaf compost by the way. I’ll be trying the living greens
feeder for my rabbits!
I haven’t really had a problem with them but from what I have read a soap
spray should control them. You can buy insecticidal soaps or make your own
using PURE soaps, either liquid or from bits of dissolved bar soaps.. There
are a few different recipes on the web but like I said haven’t had to treat
them so don’t really know which to recommend.. If you search “controlling
thrips with soap” & “controlling spider mites with soap” some should come
up that you might find handy. Hope that helps some.
I think I could still fit more in there Chuck… I think they all need a
good feed at the moment ready for the warmer season crops… That’s the
next job on the list.. Have a great one sir..
ROTFL! “Doctor told not to do something but I’m going to do it anyway” You
sound like me. The family is always pissed off at me because I just can’t
sit still for days on end like they do.
